Merging Grids causes space bubbles

You should be able to reproduce the issue by getting a ship, adding some of the new DLC blocks, the drill and the kelp farm, and merging to an asteroid then disconnecting the merge block and flying away.
I have the same bug

I am not sure if this is the same problem...was in creative and rearranging bits at one point the drills and drill bits were not in the same visual space...drilled fine tho.
