Directional Audio seems to be broken

DaviveCZ shared this bug 21 days ago
Solved

For some reason sounds coming out of blocks appear to not be playing at normal volume when directly looking at them and only when they are behind the player.

This was tested without mods on Red Ship V2 scenario.

EDIT: This is noticeable with headphones and when "Windows Sonic fro Headphones" is turned off.

Tuning it on fixes the issue of sounds coming from front being too quiet but sounds still appear to be quieter when viewed from front.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

It seems that the issue you are experiencing is the same as the one reported in the following thread. In that case, the player also enabled Windows Sonic for Headphones and took a few additional steps, which completely resolved the issue for them. Could you please try the same steps on your side and let us know if they help? Also, please check the screenshot shared in that thread, which shows the headphone settings that fixed the issue.

Please let us know if the issue still occurs after following those steps.

didn't realized someone made thread similar to mine! but yup. they have the same issue as i do

Btw the Windows Sonic for Headphones did fixed the issue but it more or less made it less noticable.

Like you could still tell that sound was more louder when listened to from behind but Windows Sonic fixes that a tiny bit.

Or is there still something that we can help you with regarding this problem?
