Need More Information

we can not get the remote api to work at all even the host havoc support team has no ida how to get it to connect and there are no videos or guids online to use it at all other then how to start a new sever

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for reporting the issue. To investigate the Remote API not connecting, we’ll need some additional details:

  • Which version/build of Space Engineers are you running?
  • What host/OS setup is being used (since you mentioned Host Havoc)?
  • Any error messages from the server console.
  • Please also attach the server log file from the session where the Remote API failed to connect.

This information will help us reproduce the problem and determine if it’s a configuration issue or a bug in the Remote API.

In the meantime, as a possible workaround, please make sure the server’s system time is synchronized with an internet time source, and that your computer’s clock is also in sync. Even a small desynchronization (30 seconds or so) can cause the Remote API connection to glitch.

Host havoc made a new host server to see if it would fix the problem and it did we went as far to delete everything and it still didn't work they have no idea what the problem was but it was on their end now i have to figure out how to reupload our world i saved i wish all the server host would make configuration of the server easier they all barely give a ui that makes it easier i usually have to go in and manually add missing code lines or edit stuff my self because its usually not on their custom ui

  • The server log file from the session where the Remote API failed to connect.

Without this information, we won’t be able to reproduce or diagnose the problem. Please provide these details so we can continue investigating.

i have found its also just the game client the server search has not been fixed ever i have players that cant find servers unless they restart their games 4 or 6 times then the servers list finally works for them even steam has prob pulling up se servers on their server listing
