flush cockpit disabled

Investigating

So far i have Verified the integrity of the files,

Deleted the .cfg file that was regarded in a similar ticket for the flush cockpit.

Ensured the game was fully closed and not running in the background after deleting .cfg file.

I have subscribed to the Newsletter, and repeated the process after deleting the .cfg file. Its been a few hours since and still no flush cockpit.

Not sure as to why its not allowing me to use the cockpit even after ensuring all files were verified, i deleted the .cfg file and re-verified the files and not a single file was corrupted or missing.

Is there any updated news on this?

Thanks in advance.

-EDIT after initial ticket submission.

when using the block that allows you to choose from multiple cockpits from one single toolbar button. At times it gives me the option to put it down. However, upon attempting to put it down, regardless of resources, space, etc. Being available, it won't place. Almost taunting me.

Another interaction being, upon searching the block up using the G button menu. It still says requires newsletter DLC. Despite at times showing up in the block selection as previously mentioned on the hotbar.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

From what you’ve described, it seems you already tried several troubleshooting steps, which is very helpful. One key point we need to confirm is whether you subscribed to the newsletter after deleting the configuration file, since a new one is generated once the game is relaunched. If this step is skipped, the unlock may not be registered correctly.

To summarize the recommended process:

  1. Make sure the game is completely closed (not running in the background).
  2. Delete the configuration file.
  3. Relaunch the game through Steam.
  4. From inside the game, re-subscribe to the newsletter.

Once you’ve done this, please check again whether the Flush Cockpit becomes available.

If the issue persists even after following these steps exactly in this order, could you share a log file from the affected session so we can look into it further?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Please let us know if re-subscribing after deleting the config file resolves the issue.

Kind regards,

Keen Software House

Thank you for getting back to me.

I have resolved the issue, apparently.

Yes, i did subscribe to the newsletter after deleting the configuration file.

I followed all of your steps once more just to make sure i hadn't done anything wrong before. And apparently, i must have made a mistake somewhere.

Come to find out, the .cfg file was still hiding in in the recycle bin section of my computer. So im not sure if that was causing it, but once i ensured it was fully deleted. And then repeated the steps. It worked just fine.

The flush cockpit has appeared! Able to place down, and usable.

Thank you so much for your help.

Happy bug smashing.
