Jump Drive Glitch after animation

R H shared this bug 22 days ago
Won't Fix

On US #1 about 20 minutes ago.

I left a safezone, and was jumping to my base. The animation completed, but I did not jump. So I triggered the jump drive again, and the animation completed, but I did not jump. I was then ambushed and lost half of my ship. I fired one of my remaining jump drives as a blind jump, the animation completed, and I did not jump. I tried a different remaining jump drive with a blind jump. The animation completed, and I did not jump.

The whole time, my ship is being blasted by a player.

I lost my ship, and everything on it, because of a bug in your software. This was a couple of weeks of work, and I would like my ship back. The Artemis II.

Also, I feel you should be aware of this, since it's a failure in your code.

Hello R H,

Thank you for writing to us on the forum.

It appears this is the same issue that has already been reported in this thread (where having multiple active Jump Drives on the grid causes the jump to fail) ;

Jump drives fail | Space Engineers PC Support

As you may have noticed, the thread is currently in a “Reported” state, which means we already have an internal ticket for this issue.

Although the fix has not yet been implemented, you can try the workaround suggested in that thread, i.e. turn off your other Jump Drives on your grid/ship and keep only the one active that you’re using to jump. This may help resolve the issue temporarily. Please note, however, that this is only a temporary workaround until we implement a permanent fix.

We sincerely apologize for the loss of your grid caused by this issue. Since it has been destroyed, recovery may not be possible. However, we recommend that you contact a server administrator on your server for further help. To do this, please follow the steps below:

  • Join our official Discord server https://discord.gg/keenswh
  • Contact a server Administrator in the #Help-for-official-servers Discord channel

Please let us know if the temporary workaround helps resolve the issue on your side.

Kind Regards
