Mod API allowing to draw custom things on the map

Hi!
Some mods, such as Rails Modpack, really need to be able to display their designations on the map (for example, a railway map), but this is not possible at the moment. It would be very good if such an API were added to the game so that you can display various icons, shapes, and curves on the map.
