leaving ME not working properly

sometimes, when you exit the game, the game stays active in memory and you are forced to kill it via task manager

I have the same bug
everytime i exit version 0.7 i get a windows error menu to close ME as it hasnt shut down properly. one in ten times i need to system process stop it...

I just recently noticed that Steam puts an icon in the Windows notification area and Steam stays memory resident even when the main application window is closed. So, yes, it is probably a ME bug, but just tossing out the idea that Steam could possibly be causing this as there is a connection between the two. I had this happen to me the other day as well. I don't think it has happened since.
