Idea to make ME/SE Super-servers

So I was thinking on the basis of "folding at home", "seti' & "bitcoin". take the pounding off the servers and make the clients do some work, essentially a virtual super-computer server, where every player pays their server dues in processing power, ensuring a healthy server.
with 1 or 2 players on the server the feature would not activate, till theres 4-5 players, then have it dish out identical processing orders to 2 or 3 random players when needed, this could be done quietly in the background, most players would never notice it or even be aware of it, could even give them an option to opt out and give the server owners an option to not allow opt-outers to join.
