Game crashes when loading world

I've been experiencing an error when creating and loading worlds. The world reaches 22% loaded, and then the screen goes black and displays the error message "there was an error loading your world. For more information, please look at the log file." When I press "OK", the game completely freezes. The same thing happens whether I'm creating or loading a world, and I have already resorted to deleting the .cfg file and even reinstalling the game to no avail. What can I do?

im having same issues with game, even when tryin to start an empty world, no mods, after both tryin to verify cache and re-install, teh split second the loading jumps from 9% to 18%, it freezes, gear stops turning, messages dont change and if ya click it you get the typical, "this program has stopped responding". I play Space engineers just fine with a modded server, was hoping to pick up another server for ME.......just gotta be able to play it first
