Expanded view distance!

The game would look SOOOOOOO much better if they could make the view distance for the trees a bit greater. So many other games have solved this problem with billboard stand ins, why not Keen?
Make the adjustable range greater, so that those of us with better video cards can use this. The hardware that is available today is so much better than what was available when development started on this game.
