could placing an object show different colors if your standing in its path?

i often fight placement of objects simply because i am standing in their way! there is a red color that highlights most placement when the object is blocked, but could we get a different color for when the blockage is simply because the engineer is physically in its way? we would still get the red color for blockage but at least know we need to step back or extend the object distance...
this is especially important when walking the top of tall walls imho... and timber! timber always makes me think i can't place it but its just i am too close...
