Can't Craft Catch Block

I started up a multiplayer game and I played this far and am trying to build a catch block, but when I craft it it doesn't require anything, but it also doesn't give me anything so I am kindof stuck. I had another bug just before this where the quest (Smithing) wouldn't complete because it wasn't detecting that I had crafted the smithy. I just gave myself the scroll, but I can't do that every time I need a catch block.

After further investigation I have found that it works on other computers, so I am going to delete all data relating to medival engineers and then reinstall.
