Rope drum doesn't get retracted by spring

I found a bug that prevents automatic catapults. The rope drum doesn't get retracted by the torsion spring block and because I want to make an auto-catapult with rope drums, the bug makes it impossible. It could be just a safety feature and in that case, would be nice if there was a option to disable this safety feature.

Also I have seen some placing a timber to get the catapult's bucket down, but it would have bigger system to make and the timber could get broke by the springs force.
