Furnace Causing Ground Texture Flashing

Terry J DeLaney shared this bug 5 years ago
Solved

I've tried this several times, and get the same results. Plop down a furnace. Light a fire. AS SOON AS THE FIRE GOES OUT, the ground starts flashing like a strobe light. Adding fuel returns it to a normal flickering fire. When I destroy or move the furnace, the flashing light remains in that spot.

I've adjusted the textures to their lowest settings and their highest, with no change. I also did a file integrity verification. Everything was clean.

Windows 10, 5gHz AMD CPU, 32 gigs RAM, twin GTX-780s SLI'd together.

Here's a link to a video showing the problem:

This is SLI related, should be able to confirm by disabling and re-enabling SLIhttps://support.keenswh.com/medievalengineers/topic/dousing-torches-or-forge-leads-to-flickering-light-that-follows-player

I had the same bug, but it was also torches.

I have the issue with campfires, furnaces, and ovens, but not torches. If I douse the fire, here comes the flicker. If I let the fuel expire, no flicker.

Did it clear up after SLI was disabled?

Yes, the SLI disable/enable worked. Thanks for the help.
