As the title says, mechanical toolheads do not wear out right now, tested in Survival and Creative (Singleplayer).

Confirming, zero durability damage. Included screenshots to show the planks I cut then the Plank Toolhead on sawmill.

Fixed with latest patch 0.7.1.25A360 and I quote from the changelog

- Mechanical crafting stations now damage their toolheads again.
