Please add a simple merge block

I'm trying to make a huge 4 piston lift for a huge ship build and I can't connect the piston heads without it. I think it would be a logical addition after adding the pistons into the game. This is something you don't know you need unless you run into this problem. Please add it to the base game

The game is called "space engineers" but how could you be an engineer if the game won't let you build something you have a vision of?
Adding guns and NPCs are okay but you need a ship first. Definitely need more blocks and why not start with a simple merge block? It would make life easier.
