Bizarre player relocations
Not Enough Votes
Two instances recently of finding myself relocated.
1. I was about to enter my cockpit and found myself 50 meters or so away from my ship, below the platform it was parked on.
2. I was on Delfos Station heading for the door and found myself reoriented, next to the survival kit.
Is this a common occurrence? I got used to being randomly relocated after exiting my cockpit while in 3rd person mode but in these cases I was walking/flying about in 1st person view and so I was surprised by the events.

I concur with this too, when existing the cockpit, there are other grids around, and then ending up 50m away for some reason.

This happened to me also with two grids (Ships joined via Connectors).

Happened to me as well a few times in the current Survival FTUE, when I leave the cockpit on a roof or ledge. Not always though. When I entered, I was surely not standing that far away.
To reproduce this, should we remember the spot where we got in, is the game trying to replace us there...?

Already commented about this in another thread but yes its a problem. Such as exiting the cockpit and being placed underground or under the base and having to drill your way back to the surface 👀

Please note that my comment was about situations NOT involving a cockpit.
Another bizarre relocation is when you use <P> to park on a connector while in 3rd person. If the lock is bad, parked but not locked to the connector, nothing interesting happens. If the lock is good, my viewing point is shifted dramatically much like when I exit the cockpit while in 3rd person (when I seem to materialize at my viewing point).
