so earllyer today i downloaded space engineers 2 and was playing and got to 2poi after crashlanding and had to leave i come back 2 hrs later and now every time i join game even new ones including maps with nothing on it. it loads for between1 and 5 seconds before freezeing then crashing then i ahve to manully have to stop game in the steam page ive alraedy updated drivers, windows, run both steam and the game itseaf with admin and it didnt do anything. ive also tryed dropping hz, resolution, and max fps, but yet again nothing. heres roughly everthing ive tried

  • Reinstalled Everything: I did a total clean uninstallation of Space Engineers 2, manually deleted the entire AppData folder structure, and reinstalled it fresh.
  • Verified Integrity: I ran the Steam game file verification check multiple times, and it returns completely clear.
  • Tried Folder Backups: I attempted to bypass the broken save by loading into various automated backup save states instead of hitting "Continue."
  • Fixed Missing Config Files: The game wasn't even generating a SpaceEngineers.cfg file on its own. I went into %appdata%\SpaceEngineers2\AppData\ and manually created it to force-feed the game setup lines.
  • Flipped Graphics Settings & Launch Options: I have manually edited the config and used Steam launch options to try running in DX11, DX12, -windowed mode, -skipintro, and -autoconfig.
  • Lowered Display Variables: I completely unplugged my second monitor (which runs at a different resolution/refresh rate) to test it on a single display, and lowered my resolution to 1080p.
  • Adjusted AMD Driver Settings: I completely turned off Radeon Chill, Anti-Lag, RSR, and Surface Format Optimization. I set a hard driver cap of 120 FPS using Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC) and cleared my AMD Shader Cache.
  • Updated Drivers & Windows Runtimes: I am on recommended WHQL drivers. I completely reinstalled/repaired my Microsoft .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime and Visual C++ packages.
  • Ran Admin Permissions & System Repairs: I ran Steam and the game executable as an Administrator, took full Windows security ownership of the game files, and ran full SFC /scannow and DISM health checks on my OS.
  • Toggled HAGS: I tested the loading sequence with Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling both fully enabled and disabled in Windows.

The Error I Am Getting

When looking at my SpaceEngineers2.log, the file cuts off abruptly in the middle of a rendering line at TextureRenderLogging: fal.

According to my Windows Event Viewer (Event ID 1000), the game hits a hard Fail-Fast Exception (Code: 0xc0000602) pointing directly to coreclr.dll in the .NET 9 framework the exact millisecond I choose a game mode from the main menu.
