Let the players remove hexagon markers

Let players turn the hexagon markers off from their view with a keystroke.

My guess is that SE2 is loosing players because the hexagon markers are destroying immersion.

It is like someone putting their hands up to your face so that you can not see past.

I have posted this before and so have many others. There have been updates since my last request to address this. KSH have offered no comment on this feature, please say NOT PLANNED now so I can avoid further disappointment, or do something soon about it. I can not take the game seriously until this is resolved.

You can press U to hide parts of the UI including the markers, i often using it when approaching enemies so I can see what I'm going up against.

Dear Keen, I am sorry for my post and regret my words, thank you for resolving the pain point that was causing grief for me.

Thank you for updating the F1 control help.

I apologies for this post.

I will play again and enjoy the game.

I think markers on HUD are good only for mission objectives and tutorial.

Other kinds of markers could only be displayed on LCDs. Some sort of map app for LCD would be great. Or even holographic projectors. Imagine displaying Verdure on a projection table with GPS points on it. (this one merits its own suggestion :)) And here it is: Immersive Map (Holographic Table)

Another "app" can display a distance to the target GPS point, yet another can show a directional arrow. You can set up your own cockpit with customizable LCDs to display all sorts of navigational data. That would be immersive and engineer-like.
