More handholding needed for NOOBs
Starting Survival with the new drop, I can repair the Crashed Grass Hopper and lift off. The grid defaults to Speed Limited and there are no clues as to how to change this. Perhaps you could add a Datapad pointing to the the control panel and the cockpit settings. Leave it in a box at the crash site.
It is also not clear what the POWER OVERLOAD is trying to warn you about. Are there long term consequences to ignoring it?
I have been guessing that it indicates that I have been trying to fly too high for my atmospherics. Again NOOB's could use a little more handholding here that could be covered in a Cockpit settings datapad. This is especially irritating when the second contract wants you to fly over ridge high enough to trigger the warning about the air getting thin
I like this feedback
Players have been trying to get the message to Keen that the tutorial should take place before the main game in a curated environment where small steps can happen in a limited possibility state. This would start a new player with everything in a user state, and introduce engineering with survival slowly.
Wilhelm has a post, now in archive, to that effect.
