Automatic backups like SE1

I just had a crash because i aimed 1 second downwards with my fully loaded atmospheric mining vehicle. no problem i thought.. i just load the auto save 5 minutes ago where i planned to go home.

Then i misclicked on save before quitting.....

What kind of benefit does it have to save a game to the save file you want to load?

Exactly.. NONE!

During loading screen i was praying that i wouldnt load the situation i tried to undo by loading the old save. Space Engineers 1 with its 5 backups was ideal.... why is this not already in SE2?

You guys know that your software is in the heavy development phase. Why don't make games saveable like it then? I'd rather play a buggy game with backups then a game where you loose frequently your stuff because of bugs or not fully optimised mechanics.

Heres what i would do or what i EXPECT from an engeneering game like SE2, especially during Alpha

if a player wants to load a save of the same world but wants to save the current session it automaticly does a "save as" with added "– copy" like it usually does if a player wants to save a world under a different circumstance or whatever

World saves up to 5 backups, managable like SE1 does so if a critical error occours you can go back in time which allowes to work out a crittical mistake or to provide detailed Bug or Issue Feedback to Keen.

The benefits are on the hand. Yes you guys are bussy and already are in great contact with your comunity, but was it really so hard to pre add a backup function before all of the content you did?

Yes your game has to be somewhat playable but this is crittical now that i understood how crucial this SE1 feature was. Especially with a buggy gravity which pulls you down without recovery after you accidently moved your mous some degrees to much downwards. With 1080kmh makes the ship just vanish if it is small. I have to rebuild my entire miner now without supplies because

DUH i was about to get some. This is just frustrating and i really enjoy playing the game. Don't take my crashout as hate. I just wanted to let you know that your game should not be more fancy in the loss of good old features which are definitely needed.

Your comunity loves many of the old features and not only this one i tried to inform you about. The change of a maximum speed of 1080km/h does'nt make it better in this case because i never had such crashes in SE1. With 100km/h it just wasnt possible to destroy a whole ship with one simple crash. But with 1080km/h this completely changed..

Well, i found out that there actually is a Backup Feature already implemented... sorry for my outreach. But i think thats very hidden + the saving on top the same current save you want to reload doesnt make any sense. This would definitely be something great to be fixed.

And it doesnt make sense that there are 2 with 5 seconds inbetween
