Repeatable GPU driver timeout when flying upward in Quick Start Survival save
Game version: 2.3.0.2798 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB RAM: 32GB DDR4 Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS MASTER Operating system: Windows 11 AMD graphics driver: 26.7.1 Resolution: 2560 × 1440
The game now crashes every time I load my Quick Start Survival save, enter my ship and fly upward.
This has happened three times consecutively using the same steps. I played approximately 80 hours during the past week before this became consistently reproducible.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Load the attached Quick Start Survival save.
2. Enter the ship at the current saved location.
3. Take off and fly upward.
4. After approximately 5 seconds, the screen turns black.
5. AMD Software reports that a driver timeout occurred.
6. Space Engineers 2 closes and creates a crash report.
Expected result: The ship should continue flying and the surrounding area should load normally.
Actual result: The rendering thread freezes, Windows resets the graphics driver and the game crashes. The latest logs show a space encounter being generated shortly before the render thread freezes and the GPU device is suspended.
Troubleshooting already completed: - AMD graphics software and driver repaired and updated. - Computer restarted. - AMD Software Compatibility Tool confirms the installed software is compatible. - Steam and AMD overlays disabled. - The problem remains repeatable in the same save and flight path. I have attached the affected save, matching game logs, Render12 log, Mission log, Stats log, crash dump and screenshot of the AMD driver-timeout message.
