Photovoltaic Panels (solar panels) are far too thick.

In actual real space applications photovoltaic panels are astonishingly thin. this is because getting things into space and making sure they do not need to be replaced instantly means keeping the mass low and the structural integrity HIGH.

Providing dimensions here would not be useful because the theoretical dimensions of objects in SE2 do not match real things they are an estimation that is for measurement in game not an accurate visual representation of reality. One only needs to look at some Solar panels intended for use in space and compare those to the ones in game to see that they look way too thick.

So, I argue (justifiably) that they should be about half their existing thickness and while this is still not accurate (many real solar panels being incredibly thin when viewed from the edge) it would be a reasonable compromise that does not look weird. This is not a subjective argument or a matter of opinion, the solar panels do in fact deviate in thickness from real panels in their thickness to a very weird degree, for an advanced civilization where one dude can just casually go to space, it looks pretty off.

As a side note, having a variety of of different sizes and shapes of solar cells would be really nice.
