REQUEST - blocks alignment to gravity
Not Enough Votes
Add a feature so when your building a base on a planet it automatically aligns the block to the gravity so its straight to the gravity. it could be another keybind.
I like this feedback
You can already do this. If it doesn't work at first, Press J to tell SE2 that this is a new grid. Then Press B until the note in the upper right says aligned to gravity.

FWIW I think this should be the starting/default setting and you shouldn't have to cycle through B to get to the alignment you will almost always want. Having said that, because it's NOT default, some people are going to miss that you have the option to cycle through those modes.
Unless I miss my guess, the modes are 'Freemove', 'align to gravity', and 'Grid Placement'. When using this to build a new grid I'm almost always (98%) of the time anchoring something to existing voxels if I'm in gravity. But the default is always Freemove and it's almost always not aligned with gravity to begin with forcing me to either manually adjust things which leads to inexact and problematic leveling, or to switch to Align to Gravity and just place it there.
I'm not saying freemove is unused, as it might be useful for RP builds of mineshafts and chaotic structures. If I'm building for survival though, I want Gravity or Grid Alignment to be the first options. And I've encountered issues where I accidently build two grids together, so the vast majority of the time I'm working in Gravity Alignment first.
