So I was reading the Dev Diary from 25/06 and… there’s a LOT in there.

Honestly, maybe more than any of us were expecting.

Going through the list, a few things jumped out at me:

  • A new tutorial
  • A new survival start
  • Two new “orbital” stations with names that might hint at new planets

I know, I know — that’s a lot of hype to stack on a single update. But we’re at a point in SE2 where we’ve almost run out of things to poke, break, or reverse‑engineer to help push development forward. Don’t get me wrong — wheels, explosive warheads, hinges… those alone are going to give us weeks of tinkering and chaos.

But what if…

What if those orbitals really are stepping stones to new worlds? What if the new tutorial is setting up a shift in the campaign? What if this is the start of the “leave Verdure” era?

If I’m calling it now and we do get a couple of new planets — woohoo. If not, that’s fine too. I’m not going to be disappointed with everything we’re already getting. The new Survival Classic and the new tutorial (whatever form it takes) are already huge additions.

And with new biomes and water on the horizon, I’m feeling cautiously optimistic.
