[Feature creep] Season framework for planets.

This is feature creep, no doubt and probably something for 10 years down the line, but this is on my: things id love to see list.


The earthlike planet in SE2 is absolutely stunning and its gonna be even better when water is implemented, but in time, a change in scenery by implementing a season cycle would be like the cherry on top of the masterpiece


It would also bring about interresting survival mechanics, changing whats normally a temperate climate to cold, causing more drain on energy, winter would reduce solar efficiency due to snow buildup


Alien planets could have their own type of seasons, like storm season on desert planets, or radiation storm heavy periods on alien planets, making for a true challenge.


Season cycle settings could be set as an option of how often it cycles. every X ingame day or ingame month.


Its a neat concept that would be an interresting addition to SE


Heck, even freeze the water near the surface layer during winter, making you able to walk on the ice or land ships on it, or drown if you didnt have a drill and you fell in the water.


Modders could use this to add their own types of seasons (fire hurricane season for alien planets.)


Survival timelapses from content creators could cycle a base through the seasons for epic artsy video showcases


Lots of play cases.
