GPS/signal markers cluttering the view - an idea.

Hello,
As read in many threads, and experienced, the markers really hinders the game at times. I've never been able to view a ship before shooting at it, it's always hidden by the marker!
The 'H' key cycle through different ways to display the markers, but no such view hides the marker, just the text.
The cycle could have a fourth/last state, where all markers are only dots, as big as the directional/mouse dot/crosshair. No text, just the dots with their proper color (green/orange/...).
Thoughts?
