Landing Gear Can't be detached

Not a Bug

I recently built a ship with retractable landing gear on the ends of pistons. They functioned fine and when they came into contact with the ground they autolocked as expected. However once locked there was no way to unlock them.

I attempted to copy the details from other landing gear blocks that weren't locked and with autolocking turned off. This resulted in bugged out landing gear being listed as 'unlocked' in the GUI however - once you left the control panel and then ren-entered it once again was shown as 'locked'.

Same here - there appears to no longer be a toggle setting to "Lock / Unlock" in the control settings for either old blueprint item gears, nor newly placed ones. Once a gear locks, the only way to disconnect is to grind it down, and then replace it. (Creative mode - going to test further.)

Right now, each time I need to interact with a landing gear from a sub-grid (piston/rotor), I need to set two commands per gear on the hotbar, Lock and Unlock. There is no toggle. Two gears, 4 commands etc..

The sub-grid management is hopefully being adressed, this is not a final state.

Hello TheEngineer,

Subgrid management is not yet implemented and managing Landing Gear on either pistons or rotors requires both Lock and Unlock commands added to Control Block's toolbar as Angel mentioned above.

As such, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.
