Contracts can be tricked

Some parts of the game are strict. The cockpit of the sledge cannot be removed or the walkthrough ends. The game has the cockpit linked to "contract" walkthrough. Another great part of the Sledge "contract" is that the game requires the ice to be placed into the original cargo container. If you add it to any other cargo location, then the game does not recognize that you placed 2k of ice into the Seldge. These are strict requirements keeping the walkthrough from being cheated.


The normal contracts are easily fooled still. If you're supposed to create components to repair a base, then you can simply remove those components from any medium cargo container anywhere in the world. If we were given large cargo containers sooner then we could do the same, simply adding the components to a large cargo container fulfills those objectives.


The same for repairs. You can build or grind down and repair the same blocks as the contract without going to the contract location. For example, the contract where you have to move 4 containers away from the base and then weld two large solar panels. You can simply activate the contract, go to your ship or starter base and add two solar panels to complete those two objectives.


Possible solutions that I've suggested in the past:

Perhaps the contract objectives could start once the player reaches the contract site.

Perhaps the contract objectives must be completed with 2K of the contract location.
