Feature request: Clarification of supported mods

In attempting to mod creative SE2 using other user-created mods, I frequently accidentally install outdated mods resulting in crashes. Would it be possible to add an "outdated" or "unsupported" tag that could either be added by mod creators or automatically applied to mods which have not been updated since a major feature-changing update (if this could apply directly to overarching features that a specific mod is related to that would be even better, for example if the texture engine is changed, texture mods would get the warning until updated)? This would save creators time from having to change titles and save users from accidentally bricking good saves or spending hours just finding a combination that will successfully load.
