Game Report April 10th 2026
Hello fellow engineers / Dev's
Little report on the things i've encountered this week (i have included a screenshot with all the info i could provide about the game settings, my System, CPU performance, CPU temperature, RAM usage report etc etc during SE2 Survival gameplay on Ultra + Quality settings.
Particles just stop working.
It still occurs or after a few hours of gameplay (first part of the story at vallation station) or after fast-traveling / using GPS that particles stop working, thus welder torches, spacedust streaks while flying and most visibly hydrogen thrusters exhaust flame just stops happening.
WTF?
I've had it occure a few times past few day's, my PC just locks op and forcing me to hit the reboot button (which i really don't like to do).
Drills
The 5.25m Drill seems to be very underperforming in comparison with the 3.5m drill and often bouncing off on the ore while drilling.
Gatling guns.
While amazing and thrilling, on the mission where you get to shoot the base with the provided fighter, the gatling guns often just gave (all 4) the spinning sound only, or when you hear the guns firing (tested it with both 5.1 surround system as with Surround headphones) it seems the sound (BRRRRRRTTTTTT) only comes from the guns on the Right-hand side.
Losing Ore
(Using the provided sledge) Attached 2x 3.5m drills on the front of the cockpit, filling the little ship to the brim (with iron i believe) landed on the starting base connector, saved the game and rebooted the game completly (as that only seems to fix the particles back to how it is supposed to be) when back in the game, about (give or take) 2k iron ore was laying arround the ship (checking the ships cargo i lost indeed the amount of about 2k iron ore from the cargo).
Had to start all over again.
As i have been playing before, with a week off from work and the new major update i loaded up my saved game and the moons, planetary belts/astroidfields were not in the game, everything else was. after searching online (and finding nothing) i started a new survival again and than i had the moons, planetary dustbelts / astroid fields in the game, but had to go through the whole story / colonisation process again.
Thats all folks (for now atleast)
I hope any provided information is helpfull :)
Suggestions:
1; Could the Autosave on a separate file than the manual save?
2: As the game mentions "shipbreakers" (eastern egg allert, great game too)
It would be a nice feature to like in the game shipbreakers, be able to grab (with hands) onto a ship hull / small part (like a small block that got loose) or break your impact by the use of your hands).
3: Like in shipbreakers (yes i really like that game too, and since you have a cable on your spacesuit often mentioned my "Captain Jack who can't stop mentioning the cable) To have a grapling. for, well many reasons that are just fun to play arround with.
4: Grouped modules able to put on the cockpit hotbar.
So far i have been unable to put grouped modules (like both drills, or all forward-facing thrusters in one button) on the cockpit hotbar.
5: Keep up the good work <3
PS: All Fellow engineers / DEV's, please make sure when you write a report, that you are safely in a cockpit with oxygen and power, cause i died of suffocating while writing this **DOH!**
Pss; Due to work i have very little time to play and test, my first week off in over a year and i spend it on SE2 (call me addicted if you want) and it will prolly be a while again before i can write another report.
Fly Safe and go blow things up (that are not your own)!
I like this feedback
One more suggestion:
since sorters are not functional (yet) the ability to disassemble things would be amazing, not needing steel tubes and grab em in pairs from 40 grinders (grinding pit) 40 welders (welding pit) and 10 containers. Or having like a 2000 steel tubes and you need to go mine iron ore because you need to repair a ship and need a couple 100 steel plates.
But (like in SE1) let assemblers dismantle em back into raw materials.
