My SE2 Wishlist as a Builder
Below are a few wishes I have for SE2 that would be fantastic for builders like me. Many of my suggestions are meant to be for ease of player use and showcasing the new engine tech in SE2 as much as possible.

1. Inline cargo/hydro/oxygen
(old SE1 model of the small cargo - small connector ports inline)
This is a simple addition that will go a long way in creating smaller crafts. Having a .5 block like in SE1 that is for small storage within a conveyor line would be very useful in crafting smaller builds like drones.
Conveyor ports inline. Used for small hydrogen storage, ammo, etc. I just find its very hard to build small and effective craft in this game at the moment. Definitely a must-add in my opinion! :)
2. Detailing block expansion
Pretty self explanatory. More detailing! Its a pivotal feature that differentiates SE1 from 2 but at the moment feels like a rather empty space. I think the following are great starts:
-all armor block shapes
-a .25 camera
-a .25 light / emissive block
-maneuver thrusters: I built a mod here (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3666494188)
*Note: I still want a .5m camera block! The .25 camera is a basic view point whereas the .5 camera has the option to zoom, etc.
3. Mag plates
Need the return of the mag-plates please!
4. Armor Panels
Lower priority, but a must have! Lunar Kolony and the people he builds with make great use of these - both tactically and aesthetically. A detailing version of these would also great for doing "lettering" on a ship's hull!
5. Heavy Armor skin as an option (first version of texturing)
This could be a great first iteration of the texturing system. I personally would prefer all my heavy armor to match the texture of the standard armor. But I still enjoy the current heavy armor texture for certain builds or features.
6. Build Vision & Leak Finder in Vanilla
A must have for builders. Lets take the mod and make it an official feature! I can't think of one reason not to add these tools :)

7. Phys-gun for ship/player
Another mod from SE1. SE is a physics based game, but there is a fairly open field of opportunity to embrace the physics engine. I start by suggesting adding the SE1 modded Phys-gun to official SE2. It would need to be balanced obviously, but this addition is useful in many aspects of the game.
To name a few:
-Hauling full crates for contract or personal logistics
-Stabilizing a grid for salvage
-Stopping smaller craft (tractor beam-esc)
For how to balance: initial idea is mass-based.
If mass of the target is less than that of the player ship, it can be manipulated.
For the player character using the phys-gun tool: the gun itself allows mass up to a certain limit to be moved (i.e. the gun can't move large grids, but is useful for smaller crates, grids, etc.) This is initial idea and up to the devs to balance if they like this idea.

Thank you for reading this, these are just a few ideas ranked in order of how important I see them as. I believe in the mission of SE2 to "build this game with the community"... so here I am!
