I am having trouble building a new ship; the blocks aren't snapping to the existing structure as they should. Instead, they spawn at a distance and overlap with one another, creating a glitchy structure that causes a massive drop in FPS. Furthermore, I am unable to delete it completely; the game claims the structure is still being created, even though it lacks any previously placed support blocks.

I have seen the game allow me to place holo-blocks that overlap other blocks. Then when I try to weld those overlapping holo-blocks, it refuses.

You can see how I try to place the block, but it doesn't work. The problem is that the ship's PCU keeps increasing without the hologram even being placed correctly. I tried switching from Creative to Survival, as I read in another comment, but what would be the point of having to switch back and forth all the time? I hope they fix this soon, because I don't know what else I can do; plus, the blocks that fail to appear remain as "ghosts" and spawn randomly within the game.
