Highter quantity build meterials

OK first of all loving the game so far BUT one of the things that needs to change in my opinion is the ammount of meterials u need to build a block or soemthing else. I'm not saying make it more expensive, I meen just at in general like a 0 more to everything.
For me it jsut feels better to need 50 steel plates and 25 construction comp. to build for ex. a thruster then 5 steel plates and 2 construction comp.
I dont know that much about game programming but it should be a relatifly easy change right? just making numbers bigger.
