Here’s how I see it, in brief:
- This is similar to the nanobot mod from the first game, but brought down to earth.
- The system consists of tiles that emit a magnetic field in which nanobots operate.
- The tiles come in light and heavy armor variants, as well as, for example, gravel or cement (to make construction accessible)
- The tile’s radiation height is adjustable, for example, from 5 to 25 meters
- The radiation and nanobots destroy the player (while alive)—this is to keep things exciting during raids on bases and empty ships at bases ))
- A terminal, a separate device that connects to tiles via a conveyor-belt system, and can be hidden so enemies can’t disable it immediately.
