Functional Block - Manufacturing brand variations

Short version - Cosmetics+ for functional blocks.

Longer version -

One thing that I immediately loathed about Starfield was the furniture, it all looked like it was purchased from one giant cosmic IKEA. The stores must have been all over the galaxy.

I know that the player builds from a preset design in SE and that's OK.

What I would like to see is some variation on the builds for various functional blocks that would yield differences in their visuals and performances. This could be done with the use of branded blueprints, where the player could either discover or purchase a blueprint for alternative version of blocks from a trader. Some would work better than others, the build recipes would vary in component types and quantities.

These could be offered in sets in later DLCs or be produced by modders. The sets could relate to a faction or a mysterious manufacturer. The default functional block set would still be there as normal.

To create a degree of fairness to those that would claim that higher performing blocks would be pay to win, these new blocks could be unaffected by game multipliers that would be in the game option menus, that otherwise would improve the default blocks.
