Hiding tags that are far away (like on another planet) - distance slider would work great.
Should always be able to find your own ships - distance slider for antenna messages (owned ships).
Tags are too large, often obscure the entity until it's too late - tag size slider, or a toggle, or just reduce the size.
Filter visibility by tag type (ore, station/base, POI). Groups for the list of tags in map view.
Allow more zoom into sectors, to see where the GPS tags are.
