I now, some dont agree whit me.

But the mineing is now to easy, missing stone, just because, its part off the game.

the way you need to split and realy work to get your progress !!

And in reallife you also mining stone to get to the ore.

i now its in beta, but bring it back .

I do agree with you. But we don’t need the same generic “stone” we had in SE1. All voxel materials should be collectible and should not convert into a single generic "stone". Different types of voxel materials could yield different elements (and this is where ingots are essential to support the system).

Iron, for example, should not be commonly found in all voxel materials, and element concentrations should generally be low. After refinement, you would be left with large amounts of waste—in other words, the same material, but stripped of any useful elements. This means waste management becomes a concern after refining, not during mining. The more concentrated the ore or material you collect, the less waste you will have to deal with later. Significant energy requirements and waste management will motivate a search for rich deposits to support large-scale refining and production.

That said, this “waste” shouldn’t be useless. You should be able to place it back into the voxel world and use it for terraforming: roads, landing pads, walls, ramps, repairing damaged terrain, filling holes, and more. Voxel material expelled from your inventory—either manually or via a special block—would fall to the ground and, after settling for some time, fuse with nearby voxels to form new terrain. This could even require temporary scaffolding to ensure the expelled material falls into the correct areas and stays there.

There’s also potential for concrete. Certain voxel materials—limestone, for example—could be used to create concrete. If placed on the ground with water nearby, they could convert into concrete by consuming a specific amount of water. Concrete voxels would be extremely durable, making them ideal for landing pads, bunkers, and other structures that need to withstand impacts from grids or weapon fire.
