Idea: Quick Match Ship vs Ship Mode

Idea: Quick Match Ship vs Ship ModeJust a small idea for a short-form multiplayer option that lets players use their existing ship blueprints without committing to a full survival server.
Concept:
A Quick Match mode where players are paired into a temporary instance for a short ship-to-ship fight.
How it works:
- Choose a ship class: small, medium, or large (each with PCU/system limits).
- Select a blueprint.
- Spawn into a small arena (space with asteroids / light terrain, with out-of-bounds).
Win conditions:
- Destroy or disable the opponent’s ship
- Disable critical systems (cockpit, power, propulsion)
- If time expires (e.g. 10 min), winner is decided by remaining ship integrity / damage dealt
Rules:
- No welding or grinding during matches
- Pure ship vs ship combat
- Small ships could restrict auto-turrets to keep fights skill-based
Ship class identity:
- Small: fast, low durability, no auto-turrets
- Medium: limited turrets, balanced
- Large: capped turrets, slower, tougher
Open question:
How should blueprint validation work to prevent exploit designs (minimum blocks, required systems, PCU efficiency, etc.) without limiting creativity?
Extras (optional):
- Post-match stats (systems disabled, damage, block loss)
- Simple match replay for learning and design iteration
- Cosmetic ranks/badges (no gameplay bonuses)
Why:
A way to use ships built in single player, test designs, and jump into quick multiplayer sessions without long-term server commitment.
