Planetary Inertial dampeners

As in space disabling inertial dampeners will allow your ship going forward indefinetly, we need the same effect in planets gravity. I am thinking at something like being able to switch between space dampeners and planetary dampeners. They will allow you to move forward while mantaining the direction, flying like an airplane.
You can obtain this effect by grouping forward facing thrusters and disabling them. If you have to fly long distances on planet is annoying to keep pressing ''w'' to go forward.
And this method is more fuel efficient.
