Control Seat is too wide/bulky for custom cockpits

When building a custom cockpit, the field of vision in first person has a high proportion of the view taken up by the bulk of the control seat and the thickness of the window frames.

The current control seat makes custom cockpit designs aesthetically bulky and awkward

A 1.25m wide control seat would reduce the vision problem.

LCD screens need not be mounted onto bulky console frames where a simple pipe mount would suffice, again improving sight lines.

Windows with thinner frames would help too, but would require a lot of redesign work to many windows.

A new narrow (1.25m) control seat would make a good addition, not a replacement.

and the other thing...The current control seat LCD displays clash too much with the HUD.

There is too much dead space around the screens.

In first person, sitting in the control seat, everything that I can see needs to be useful, not cluttered, or dead.

The obstruction to the view need to be kept to a minimum.

The view needs to be as practical as possible including for HUD integration.

Even in SE1, not all cockpit seat types will work great with all builds. So it sounds like we need more seat options in general if alot of folks are having this issue in SE2. which more seat options is a good thing.
