NPC androids

In among the human NPCs could be some androids.
These would have set behaviours mostly and limited in interactive responses.
They could take care of repetitive tasks and jobs in difficult and dangerous environments.
They could be tradable and upgradeable.
I like this feedback
Androids should not be a replacement for drones or mechs.
Questions:
Should androids be allowed to use weaponry or only tools?
What additional things should they be able to use or carry?
Should they require a recharging station?
