Raw ore and backpack crafting components

I believe unless this is just a placeholder that the current survival mode has a fundamental issue with its gameplay loop.

In space engineers 1 the gameplay loop centered around the idea that in the early game your focus was to build up a factory of sorts in order to progress, you needed to make a survival fabricator to craft basic components and a factory to begin producing these components on a major scale which smoothly led into later game stuff in which you already had infrastructure set up to make your late game massive projects from the start with that early factory.

In SE2 that is completely thrown out the window for a reason I have yet to figure out. You have no need to make a factory early game to make basic components which are used extensively late game because your progress is tied to this weird quest based progression loop, so come later in the game where you make your bigger projects there is no transition to making advanced components with the help of your early factory like in SE1 so you basically start from square one on building up your infrastructure even though you have progressed.

Now yes you can build a factory early on knowing this but that does not have the same naturally progressing gameplay loop that SE1 had and it feels like its more of a creative mode type of thing.

Have you tried 'Ogrim - Extended Survival 2' mod yet? It has stone and more.
