contrail

I propose adding a contrail (condensation trail) effect from engines on planets with dense atmospheres (such as Verdure - an Earth‑like planet), similar to aircraft contrails.

A contrail (short for condensation trail) is a visible white line formed when water vapor in engine exhaust condenses and freezes in cold, thin air at high altitudes. It is not smoke or pollution, but rather tiny ice crystals created by the interaction of hot, moist exhaust with frigid ambient air.

At high altitude, where the air is cold and thin, water vapor in the exhaust condenses, forming a visible white trail. Near the surface, where temperatures are higher and air density is greater, no trail forms.

  • Close to the surface - no visible trail;
  • At significant altitude - a long white trail appears (resembling an aircraft contrail) and gradually dissipates over several seconds.

This visual element will enhance realism: players will instantly recognize that the ship is at high altitude by the familiar appearance of the contrail. It will strengthen immersion in the atmosphere of a Verdure‑type planet.
