Ore chunks disappearing too quickly after mining

I am following the Space Engineers procedure of holding down F to collect ore while running the mining drill. I am noticing way fewer chunks appearing and escaping in SE 2, so that's a definite improvement.

On the excavation mission, I was mining some iron ore to build the batteries. When my backpack was full, I had a loose ore chunk that rolled off the cliff and down into an indentation in the floor. I watched it roll and stop in the hole. I then went and repaired the batteries.

When I went back to pick up the ore, the ore had already disappeared. This was not very long, and I have noticed ice stick around for a bit before disappearing while refueling the hydrogen ship. (Some of that jumped out of the hole and up to the walkway above the ice, which I thought was odd at the time.)

This doesn't seem to be long enough for the ore chunk to stick around. I was expecting to be able to back and pick it up so I could use it on the drill and other areas.

Follow up: Never mind, go ahead and close this ticket. I was looking in the wrong depression in the cave. *rolls eyes*

On a side note, you might provide a way for people to self-close tickets that turn out to be non-issues. (Cancel Ticket button, with an optional reason box.)
