Space Engineers 2 Ore Processing

I am in Love with this game, but I think Ore Processing is Lacking, using you backpack to produce required base items should be costly, like in SE survival kit vs basic refinery vs refinery. there is no incentive to create these items, The Assembler should not use raw ore to produce the higher tier items,
The Smelter should smelt ores into ingots then gets passed on to other fabricators.
I do understand this is Alpha and this is probably in the works,
