Waypoint Transparency

Small Feature Request:
If at all possible, it would be great if the waypoint icon shrunk / became more transparent as you look at it. It would remain opaque when not looking at it, but as it approached the center of the screen, it would shrink and or become transparent. This way you can see what's beyond the waypoint.
Use case: Not running into an asteroid that's right in front of you when your waypoint is beyond the asteroid along the same trajectory.
