Missing control groups and spaceship controls

As I'm flying around, I find I'm missing the ability to group items together to control them as a group. For example, the hydrogen ship constantly consumes fuel, so I'd like the ability to turn off the engines without having to turn off the entire ship.
I found that I could do that by going into the control view and then selecting all the items, but I miss having the ability to do that at the press of a key (such as 5).
Just mentioning it, as I'm hoping you have plans to implement that in a future release.
