I'm going to elaborate on this issue and what I think is causing it: the ranges of the hand-held welder and grinder seem to be too short. For instance, when welding a floor, I can't stand on one welded block and weld the adjacent block unless I crouch and creep right up to the very edge of the projected block. Some blocks also seem to have a ridiculously tiny "aim-point" you have to aim at to get them to weld or grind: for example, I can't weld a grating by aiming at its center, I have to look at its very narrow edge. Frequently I end up having to use my jetpack to "hover" directly in front of a projected block in order to weld or grind it.
