Freezing when Loading in Large Grids at High Speeds in Atmo - SE2

When playing the story, I managed to destroy my H2 ship that I landed on top of the wrecked blue colored ship right after the weather station.

This prompted me to build a new H2 ship to progress through the mission, however every time I try to approach the space station above the weather station, my game freezes for a moment. Then all particle effects and time continues to progress, however the game does not recognize any user input and my grid is frozen in space, yet the GUI still says it is moving. Also good to note sounds ply up till the freeze, stop, and then continue once time and particles move again on screen.

This freezing also happened once when I was using a grasshopper to go get some ice from the ice mine before I crashed the H2 ship. Also note, I accidentally went way too high with the grasshopper as I flipped and "burned" incorrectly which sent me up. However, my guess is that I loaded in the crashed ship mentioned before while going about ~80m/s. It seems like moving under ~70m/s stops the issue from happening. Haven't tested this much though.

Also, Possibly related, SE2 is taking 24GB of ram on Medium settings, despite the recommended being High with 16GB of ram. There may be a memory leak somewhere or I may just be misunderstanding what is going on.

Here is the game save. Also, it seems like the bug occurs primarily when traveling over the mountain to get to the station.

Just came here to leave this same report. Only mine was flying the grasshopper to the weather station the first time. I was able to play through this last night, but crashed my hydrogen ship so I tried reloading a save game and eventually, just started a new game. I now can't make it to the weather station and can't progress.

I opened task manager and watched while the game was froze. The sound is still there as if the ship is still flying, but my CPU spiked from 15% to 54% then back and forth like that, around those 2 same percentages. And my Ram was spiking from 11Mb to around 15Mb (32Mb total) then back and forth.
